MAC East Division Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Jared Skolnicki, Kent State, LHP
Sophomore, Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks
Skolnicki has proved to be a below-the-radar gem for Kent State's weekend rotation, and he impressed again in his third start this weekend as the Flashes took down a tough Coastal Carolina team on its home turf. Skolnicki went seven innings in the start to earn the win and only allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two. Without much offensive support through the first few innings, Skolnicki battled through some pressure put on by the Chanticleers. After they scored a run in the 2nd with one out, the sophomore picked a runner off then got a groundout to end the threat. After a single in the 4th, he picked off another to end the inning. The opposition was only able to hit .167 against him.

Kurt Hoekstra, Western Michigan, SS
