Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team will host a series of summer camps over the months of June and July.
4v4 Tournament: The Falcons will host a 4v4 Tournament at Cochrane Field on Saturday, June 13. The tournament will be open to girls ages 8-18 starting at 12 p.m. (noon). The suggested maximum number of players is eight per team and each teach is guaranteed to play three games. The cost is $100 per team.
College ID Camp: BGSU will hold a College ID Camp on Sunday, June 14, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the BGSU Soccer Training Fields. The camp is open to girls 15 and up. The cost is $90 per participant.
This one day camp is designed for soccer players who want to play at the collegiate level. The camp will focus on introducing the player on how top level Division I programs train their student-athletes and prepare them for success during a college season.
Our camp philosophy is to provide coaching that players can take away to improve their game, as well as having an opportunity to evaluate every player. The Bowling Green Women's soccer coaching staff will progress through rigorous training sessions and give insight to the players on how they can develop their skills to succeed at the next level. The camp will also provide information to players on the various steps in the recruiting process.
Day Camp: The women's soccer program will host a day camp from June 15-18 at the BGSU Soccer Fields. The camp will be open to boys and girls ages from 5-7 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (half day) for a cost of $85. It will also be open to boys and girls ages 8-12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (full day) for a cost of $165.
The BGSU Women's Soccer Day Camp is focused on helping local players of any skill level develop their skills and knowledge of the game. The camp is built on the principles of fun, technique and tactics, and has a low player-to-coach ratio. Technique and skill development will be done appropriate to the age and skill level of each player. Players will constantly have the ball at their feet for many repetitions and will have many opportunities to achieve success. Tactical learning of the game will be emphasized by using small-sided games and other match situations.
Residential Camp: BGSU will also hold a residential camp on July 9-12 on the campus of BGSU. The camp is open to girls ages 10-18. The cost is $395 for campers planning to stay on campus overnight and only $300 for commuters. There is also a team price of $330 if 12 or more players from the same team attend the camp.
