SCOUTING FINDLAY
The Findlay Oilers opened their 2015 season with a 4-0 shutout win at home against St. Josephs (Ind.) this past Friday. The Oilers then faced Southern Indiana on Sunday afternoon in a match that lasted two overtimes, ending in a 2-2 tie.

BGSU VS. FINDLAY ALL-TIME SERIES
The game Tuesday night at Cochrane Stadium will be the first time the Falcons face the Oilers on the pitch.

SCOUTING EASTERN ILLINOIS
Eastern Illinois sits at 1-4-1 heading into its matchup with Bowling Green this Friday. The Panthers' lone win came against IPFW last Friday, 3-1. Hawkins four goals

LAST MEETING VERSUS THE PANTHERS
(Sept. 2, 2007) Bowling Green last faced the Panthers in 2007, as the Falcons opened up their home schedule with a 2-1 win at home. Sophomore Stacey Lucas scored a pair of first half goals for BGSU and the Falcons took a 2-0 lead into halftime. However, EIU scored in the 55th minute to cut the Falcon lead in half. BG's defense did not allow the Panther attack to take a shot in the final 30 minutes.

BGSU VS. EASTERN ILLINOIS ALL-TIME SERIES
The Falcons are 3-2-1 all-time versus Eastern Illinois. Bowling Green has won the last three meetings between the two teams by a combined score of 6-2.
SCOUTING VALPARAISO
The Detroit Titans opened their 2015 season with a 3-2 double overtime loss at home against the Universe second overtime. A week later, Detroit defeated Ohio University 2-0, scoring both of its goals in the opening period. This past Sunday, the Titans fell to in-state foe Michigan, 3-0. Detroit sits at 1-2-0 heading into the matchup with the Falcons.

LAST MEETING VERSUS THE CRUSADERS
(Sept. 9, 2012) The Falcons dropped a 3-0 decision to Valparaiso three seasons ago on the road. The Crusaders broke a scoreless tie early in the second half (54th minute), then tacked on a pair of late goals for the shutout win. Junior Madeline Wideman led BGSU with three shot attempts.

BGSU VS. VALPARAISO ALL-TIME SERIES
The Falcons are 3-2-0 against the Crusaders on the pitch, with the series between the two dating back to 1998. Bowling Green claimed the first three wins of the series, but Valparaiso has shut out the Falcons the last two meetings.

MAKING HISTORY
*BG women's soccer had a record-setting crowd of 803 at the season opener against Chicago State.
*The win Aug. 21 was the team's first victory in a season opener since 2004.
*BGSU opened the season 2-0-0 for the first time since 2000.
*It is the first time in school history the Falcons have shut out its first two opponents.
*Through two home games, the Falcons recorded seven goals, which is already more than the five goals the team scored at home a year ago.
*The team's 2-2-0 start this season hasn't been done since 2009.
*BG has recorded 10 plus shots in all four games this season.
*For the first time since 2013, the Falcons have netted a goal in four straight contests.

LAST TIME OUT: DETROIT RECAP
Despite an early first-half goal in the fourth minute by Mikaela Couch, the Falcons fell to Detroit 3-1 last Wednesday at Titan Field. The Titans then went on to score three unanswered goals to take the win. Lauren Cadel finished with two saves and moved to 2-2 on the season.

CAREER HIGHS FOR COUCH
Mikaela Couch has scored a goal in three of BG's four contests, which were her first three in a Falcon uniform. Clocking 228 minutes of play in 2015, she has recorded a team-high six points this season, which is a career high for the sophomore forward.

HUBERT'S RETURN
Redshirt freshman Erica Hubert is seeing action for the first time in her BGSU career due to an injury suffered last season. Through four games, she has five points. Hubert scored her first career goal Aug. 21 in the season opener against Chicago State, also recording her first career assist in the 4-0 victory. On Aug. 23 against IPFW, the Ontario native capitalized on her shot from the top of the box to score her second goal of the season. For her performance in the team's opening two matches, she received her first ever MAC Player of the Week award.

FALCONS ALL-TIME VERSUS THE 2015 FOES
BGSU enters the 2015 season having played all but one of its opponents prior to this year. The Falcons are 90-124-28 all-time versus their 19 regular season foes in 2015, including having posted double digit wins over Buffalo and Kent State, as well as wins over Akron, Kent State, Ohio and Chicago State in 2014.

PICKED FIFTH IN THE EAST IN THE 2015 MAC PRESEASON POLL
The Bowling Green State University Falcons were picked to finish fifth in the East Division by the MAC Coaches. The Buffalo Bulls are the favorite to win the East Division regular season title, while the Ball State Cardinals and Western Michigan Broncos are the tied favorite to win the West Division. In the East Division following Buffalo, Miami is predicted to finish second with Kent State (3), Ohio (4), Bowling Green (5) and Akron (6).

YOUTH MOVEMENT
The 2015 BGSU women's soccer roster boasts a total of 19 sophomores and freshmen out of the 27 player squad. In fact, of the 19 total underclassmen, 11 are either redshirt-freshmen or true freshmen who will be making their intercollegiate debuts this season.

THE RETURNING CORE
The Falcons have a strong core of returners for the 2015 season, as Coach Basalyga's squad returns 10 starters and 16 total letterwinners. A total of 13 of the 16 returners logged over 500 minutes on the field for the Falcons in 2014, while eight of the returners accounted for a total of 14 goals last year. BGSU returns its leading goalkeeper in Lauren Cadel (146 saves), its leading goal scorer in Skylar Fleak (5 goals) and its assists leader in Leah Runkle (4 assists), while 10 other returners all played in at least 16 matches for the Falcons last season.

ON TAP FOR THE FALCONS
Following the home contest with Findlay, Bowling Green faces Eastern Illinois and Valparaiso this Friday and Sunday on the road. The Falcons then return to Cochrane Stadium for five home games beginning Sept. 17 with Bulter.
