Baseball Finalizes Spring Break Trip

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team and head coach Danny Schmitz announced the final portion of its spring break trip Monday (Jan. 4) afternoon. The program announced its schedule on Dec. 7, but had not received its slate for the Perfect Game Tournament in Emerson, Georgia at that time.
The Falcons will play a total of six games in Emerson, including one doubleheader, from March 8-13. Bowling Green will open the Perfect Game Tournament with a March 8 contest against Alabama State University at 6 p.m. BGSU will play Alabama State again on March 9 at 3 p.m., before taking on Presbyterian College at 3:30 p.m. on March 11. The Falcons will play a doubleheader on March 12, as they will take on Savannah State University at 2:30 p.m. and the University of Nebraska-Omaha at 6:30 p.m. The Falcons will conclude the tournament with another game against Presbyterian College at noon on March 13.
The Orange and Brown will be taking on its four opponents at the Perfect Game Tournament for the very first time in program history.
The Falcons return 23 players from a team that finished 25-29 overall and 14-13 in Mid-American Conference play in 2015. Bowling Green also welcomes 11 newcomers into the fold. Bowling Green opens the 2016 season in Johnson City, Tennessee on Feb. 19 against East Tennessee State University.
