BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – After netting the seventh hat trick in Bowling Green women's soccer program history, redshirt sophomore Erica Hubert was honored as Mid-American Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
A native of Welland, Ontario, Hubert scored all three of the Falcons goals against Western Michigan Thursday evening, making it the first time since Sept. 2010 that a Falcon has scored three goals in the game. On Sunday, Hubert passed the ball across the box just 10:30 into play to assist freshman Rachel Muller in her first career goal that ultimately became the Falcons game-winner. With the 2-0 shutout victory over Northern Illinois, the Bowling Green women's soccer team posted the most wins in a season since the 2008 campaign.
Hubert was the 2015 leading scorer for the Falcons by tallying eight goals over the course of the season. With seven goals, one assist and 15 points, Hubert is on top of the Bowling Green statistical roster for the second consecutive season. Four of Hubert's seven goals this season have been game-winners as well.
The Bowling Green women's soccer program will be back in action on Thursday, Oct. 27 as it hosts Toledo in the final event of the regular season. In the 3 p.m., Battle of I-75 matchup, the Falcons must earn a win to be in contention for postseason play.
