West Lafayette, Ind. – Sophomore Paula Comella and freshmen Marharita-Sophia Tavpash and Megan Horn all made their way to flight championships as the Bowling Green State University tennis team competed at the Purdue Invite Saturday (Oct. 8).
"We had very strong performances in singles and doubles today," head coach Stephanie Dalmacio said. "We knew that we were going against other conference teams which motivated us to show what we came here for. We were all in and got the job done!"
In singles, Comella made her way to the flight championship by defeating Adey Osabuohien of NIU 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. She will fight for the flight title against Xavier's Cristina Di Lorenzo.
