PREVIEW OF OAKLAND
Last season the Grizzlies made it to the NCAA tournament after winning the Horizon League tournament. They finished with an overall record of 8-6-7 overall and a 6-1-2 mark in conference play. Oakland had two scrimmages prior to the start of the 2016 season in which they lost 3-1 to Eastern Michigan and downed Fort Wayne by a score of 3-1. In its opening game of the season, the Grizzlies lost 2-0 to Montana, followed by defeating Saginaw Valley State 1-0 to bring their overall record to 1-1. The Grizzlies have returned its top goal scorer from the 2015 season in Alice Palmer, in addition to Cecilie Dokka, who marked the second-most assists on the team.

FALCONS VERSUS THE GRIZZLIES ON THE PITCH
On the field, the Falcons are 0-2-1 all-time against Oakland. The most recent match between the pair was back in 2008 where the game ended in a 0-0 double-overtime tie in Rochestern, Mich.
LAST WEEK'S WRAP UP
The Falcon's started off the 2016 campaign with a pair of late game-winners to earn a 2-0 start on the season for the second consecutive year. In the home opener against Eastern Illinois, the Falcons came out firing as they put up 27 attempted shots with eight landing on goal. It wasn't until the 88th minute when sophomore Erica Hubert was able to find the back of the net with one of her 12 school record-setting shots. In Sunday's matchup with Valparaiso, the Falcons narrowly won 1-0 after an 82nd minute goal, once again by Hubert. On the defensive end, redshirt senior goalkeeper Lauren Cadel made a combined five saves to earn a pair of shutouts, increasing her career total to nine. Â Â Â Â
FOCUS ON THE FALCONS
Bowling Green and fourth-year head coach Lindsay Basalyga return 10 starters and a total of 19 letterwinners from last year's team and added seven new Falcons in the 2016 recruiting class. Despite the loss of just one letterwinner from last season, BGSU is still stacked with youth as 13 members of the 26 players on the 2016 roster are either sophomores or freshmen. However, the Falcons return the top four goal scorers from the 2015 campaign including leading goal scorer and 2015 MAC All-Freshman Team member Erica Hubert. BGSU also returns starting goalkeeper Lauren Cadel, who recorded 113 saves in 18 matches started last season, and set a Bowling Green record of 19 saves against Valparaiso in a 1-1 double overtime tie.
