PREVIEW OF DETROIT
The Titans completed the 2015 campaign with an overall record of 7-9-2 and 3-5-1 record in Horizon League play. After splitting exhibition play in preseason, Detroit lost their first official match of the season to Baylor in a 2-0 final, in which goalkeeper Marina Manzo tallied nine saves, which is the second-highest total of her career and most since 2014. Detroit then rebounded for a 2-1 victory over Sam Houston at the University of Texas Tournament, prior to falling to the Longhorns by a 3-1 mark. The Titans have tallied 26 attempted shots, with 12 landing on net over the course of three matches this season, ultimately leading to a 1.00 goals per game average. Senior Anna Mindling has notched two of the Titans three goals this season, while junior Suzie Redick earned the game winner over Sam Houston.
FALCONS VERSUS THE TITANS ON THE PITCH
Bowling Green is 3-8-0 all-time against Detroit on the pitch. The most recent meeting was last season in which the Titans defeated the Falcons in a 3-1 final on Sept. 2, 2015 on the road. Bowling Green last earned a victory over the Titans on Sept. 4, 2009 in a 4-0 shutout in Detroit, Mich.
LAST WEEK'S WRAP UP
Despite racking up an aggressive 20 shots, the Falcons suffered a 2-1 loss to Morehead State on Thursday evening at home. Freshman Chelsee Washington scored the lone goal for Bowling Green by heading the ball into the goal off of a corner kick opportunity taken by junior Rachel Winters. It was one of four corner kicks that the Falcons benefitted from, resulting in Washington's first career goal.
On Sunday afternoon, the Falcons dropped a 2-1 decision to Oakland, in which junior Skylar Fleak nabbed the Falcons lone goal of the match with just ten seconds remaining in the first half. Fleak scored by knocking in a free kick taken by junior Rachel Winters from 40 yards out, driving the Bowling Green momentum into the second. Bowling Green registered eight attempted shots in the second half, doubling the four shots from the first half for a match total of 12. Ultimately, Bowling Green held the advantage over Oakland in total attempted shots by a 12-7 margin, as well as shots on goal by an 8-4 mark.

The Falcons will then hit the road for the first time this season as they head to Annapolis, Md. for the Navy Invitational, in which they will face Towson for the first time in program history on Sept. 9, followed by host school Navy on Sept. 11.
