Rispler, Duwve Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golfer Max Rispler and women's soccer player Kathleen Duwve
Male Athlete of the Week
Max Rispler, a redshirt sophomore from Grand Rapids, Mich., took a top 10 finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate. Rispler shot 69-71-72 212 (-1) to tie for ninth out of 78 golfers among a field featuring seven power five schools. Over the course of the two-day event, Rispler had both of the Falcons' eagles and added seven birdies. He has finished atop the Falcons' leaderboard in each of the first two fall tournaments of the season.
Female Athlete of the Week
Kathleen Duwve, a freshman from Sylvania, Ohio, made 11 saves, allowing just one goal, as the BGSU women's soccer team split its first conference matches over the weekend. Duwve made four saves in a 2-0 shutout of Ohio and followed with seven saves in a 1-0 loss to Kent State. She recorded a 0.50 goals against average and moved to 3-1-0 on the season in goal for the Falcons. In four matches this year, she has made 25 saves and allowed just two goals.
