Women's Golf Completes Second Day of MAC Championship

Second Round Results
SILVER LAKE, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's golf program completed the second day of the Mid-American Conference Championship by a second round score of 330, +49, for a two-day total of 657, +81. The Falcons have combined for a total of 81 par scores and nine birdies thus far in the three-day tournament.
A native of Austin, Texas, sophomore Erin Fahey continues to lead the Falcons with a two-day score of 160, +16 to sit in a tie for 35th overall. Fahey followed up her first round of 79 with a score of 81 in today's play, and has gone even on par 3 scoring throughout the first 36-holes of action. In the first two days of competition, Fahey has tallied a team-leading 18 par scores and four birdies.
Coming in with a second day score of 83 in today's play was senior Fran Rodriguez, currently placing her in a tie for 42nd overall by a 36-hole score of 164, +20. Additionally, Rodriguez has notched 18 par scores and posts a 3.38, +3 average on par 3 holes.
A native of Miramar, Fla., sophomore Julia Durkin shaved two strokes off of her opening round of 84 yesterday with a second round of 82 in today's action. In her two-day total of 166, +22, Durkin has marked 17 par scores and one birdie, and has averaged 5.63, +5 strokes on par 5 holes.
Freshman Jessica Madry followed up her opening round of 83 with an 84 in today's competition for a 36-hole total of 167, +23. A native of Houston, Texas, Madry has carded 16 par scores and three birdies heading into the third and final day of play. Additionally, Madry has posted a stroke average of 3.13, +1 on par 3 holes.
Rounding out the Bowling Green lineup is junior Madelynn Swank. A native of Clarendon, Hills, Ill., Swank shaved three strokes off of yesterday's first round of 88 to card an 85 in today's competition for a two-day total of 173, +29. Swank has accrued 12 pars as well as one birdie, on her way to averaging 3.50, +4 strokes on par 3 play.
Kent State continues to top the leaderboard after the second day of play with a two-day score of 587, +11. The Golden Flashes' Michaela Finn leads the individual playing field of 49 players by a score of 143, -1.
