Falcons Finish Play At Mary Fossum Invitational

LANSING, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Mary Fossum Invitational today (Sept. 24) by shooting a round-three 323. The Falcons shot a 945 (302, 320, 323, +35) on the tournament to finish in eighth place. The 54-hole tournament, which featured 10 teams, was hosted by Michigan State University and played at the Forest Akers West Golf Course.
"We just weren't able to capitalize on our opportunities today," said head coach Stephanie Young following today's round.
The Falcons finished ahead of MAC foes Eastern Michigan (953) and Central Michigan (967), while Michigan State (859) won the tournament. Bowling Green's Erin Fahey (225) and Nichole Cox (232) both finished in the top 20. Fahey finished tied for eighth, while Nichole Cox ended the tournament tied for 20th.
