"After coming so close to breaking the pentathlon school record a year ago, and then breaking the outdoor heptathlon record, this was the natural progression for BeJai," BGSU Track & Field Coach Lou Snelling said. "There were a few tense moments in the high jump and the long jump, but she handled the pressure like a veteran. To have Peyton break the record as well in her first attempt speaks volumes about how bright her future is."
