Athens, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University football team racked up 314 yards of offense in a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Ohio University Bobcats. The Mid-American Conference contest was played at Pedan Stadium on Saturday (Oct. 20) afternoon.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
• Jarret Doege completed 19-of-24 passes for 214 yards. He threw two touchdown passes, marking the 12th-consecutive game that he's accounted for multiple touchdowns.
• By completing 79.1 percent of his passes, Doege has now eclipsed 70 percent passing four times in his career.
• RB Marlow III caught three passes for 20 yards, including a seven-yard reception in the second quarter.
• Scott Miller had six catches for 145 yards. One of those catches was a 57-yard touchdown pass from Doege to put the Falcons up early. Miller has now put up 100-plus yards receiving in ten games across his career. He averaged 24.2 yards per catch on the afternoon.
• Quintin Morris registered 37 yards receiving on four catches.
• Rico Frye and Bryson Denley added 36 yards rushing apiece. Denley also contributed with four catches.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
• Jerry McBride III registered ten tackles on the day for the Orange and Brown.
• Brandon Harris recorded nine tackles, while Clint Stephens and Caleb Biggers each chipped in with seven tackles apiece.
Jamari Bozeman and Josh Croselan each recorded six tackles on the afternoon.
• Marcus Milton added two tackles and a sack.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
• Matt Naranjo punted four times for 176 yards, averaging 44.0 yards per punt. Naranjo had a long of 53 yards.
• Naranjo's 53-yard punt was fumbled by OU's return man, and recovered by Robert Jackson in the second quarter.
• Nate Needham went a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal attempts.
UP NEXT
• Bowling Green returns home to Doyt L. Perry Stadium to take on the Kent State Golden Flashes. Kick-off is slated for 8 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 30.
