Eric Dop Voted WCHA Goaltender Of The Week

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Eric Dop of the Bowling Green State University hockey team has been voted WCHA Goaltender of the Week. This after he recorded his first career shutout making 33 saves in Bowling Green's 0-0 tie with Alaska Anchorage on Friday (Nov. 9) night.
A sophomore from Lewis Center, Ohio, Dop made 12 stops in the first period, 12 more in the second, eight in the third and one in the first overtime of the official 0-0 draw. He then kept UAA out of the net for the first 2:20 of the 3-on-3, second overtime period. Chris Pohlkamp would score earning the Falcons an extra point in the WCHA standings.
This is Eric Dop's first WCHA weekly award of the 2018-19 season and his fourth career honor.
Bowling Green will return to home ice this weekend for a two game series with Lake Superior State at Slater Family Ice Arena. Game one will be Friday (Nov. 16) night at 7:37pm. Game two will be Saturday (Nov. 17) night at 7:07pm.
