Falcon Tennis Signs María Jose Magro To National Letter Of Intent

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program and head coach Stephanie Dalmacio has announced the signing of Maria Jose Magro to a National Letter of Intent. Magro of Lerma, State of Mexico will join the tennis program as a freshman for the 2019-20 season.
"I'm ecstatic to welcome María José, aka Majo, to our Falcon Family," Dalmacio said. "She is a hard worker on and off the court, someone who enjoys the challenges put in front of her. She's very determined to make the team better and I cannot wait to help her do that!"
Magro, the daughter of Fernando H. Magro and Olivia Quiroz, is a 12th year student at Laurel Spring School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society from grades nine through twelve.
Magro competed nationally in Mexico and internationally in the ITF Junior Circuit under her coach Diego Marañón. She was best ranked No. 12 in singles, and No. 3 in doubles in the national standings for Mexico.
At Bowling Green, Magro plans to major in psychology. The university's psychology program played a big role in influencing her decision to commit to the Orange and Brown. Magro's career ambitions are fixed onto counseling psychology."
