Falcons Head To Naperville For MAC Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team is set to travel to Naperville, Illinois this weekend to compete in the 2018 Mid-American Conference Championships. The three-day event is being hosted by Northern Illinois University from April 20-22 at the Naperville Country Club.

THE FALCONS AT THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
• This weekend's tournament marks Bowling Green's 20th appearance at the MAC Championships. The Falcons have competed in every tournament since 1999.
• BGSU's top finish at the MAC Championships is fifth. The Falcons finished in fifth in consecutive years in 2000 and 2001.
• In 2016, the Falcons registered their best score in program history at the event. BGSU carded a team score of 913 to finish in eighth. This low score does not factor in the 36-hole tournament in 2005.
• Last season, the Orange and Brown logged a 972 team score to finish in ninth.
EXPERIENCE AT THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
• Three members of this year's team – Erin Fahey, Jessica Madry and Madelynn Swank – were a part of Bowling Green's lineup at last year's MAC Championships. All three are also in this year's lineup.
• Fahey is competing in her third MAC Championships. In 2016, Fahey carded a 54-hole 225, which is the lowest 54-hole score by a Falcon at the MAC Championships in the program's history.
• Last season, the Falcons were led by Fahey, who finished tied for 18th by scoring a 233. Madry logged a 246 to finish tied for 45th, while Swank finished in 49th by recording a 259.
