• Bowling Green and Oregon will be meeting for the first time in series history on Saturday, Sept. 1. Kick is slated for 8 p.m. ET.
• The Falcons are 49-43-7 in season openers all-time.
• Bowling Green will be in search of its first win on opening day since 2013. The Falcons beat Tulsa that season by a score of 34-7 under the lights at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.
• The Orange and Brown have not won a season opener on the road since 2011. Bowling Green opened the 2011 season with a 32-15 victory at Idaho.
• From 1954-1965, BGSU won 12 straight season openers. However, over the past 12 seasons, the Falcons are just 5-7 on opening day.
