YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team posted its 10th-straight victory on Tuesday (Jan. 22) evening in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Falcons moved to 6-0 in Mid-American Conference play by defeating Eastern Michigan University, 80-67.
Bowling Green improved to 14-5 on the season with the win, while Eastern Michigan dropped to 8-11 (2-4 MAC) in 2018-19 with the loss. With No. 14 Buffalo's loss at Northern Illinois later in the night, Bowling Green is now the league's lone unbeaten and maintains sole possession of first place one third of the way through the league schedule.
QUOTE OF THE GAME
"Our zone offense was really good. We were able to move the ball, move the body, and we were able to get it inside and outside. The most important thing – we were able to make the shots. We were open – had a lot of open looks – and we were able to knock them down. That's what it's about going against their zone. We did a great job of sharing the ball. We had 20 assists, so that was huge on our 29 buckets." – Head Coach Michael Huger
