BGSU MEN'S SOCCER: MIC'D UP
FIVE FASCINATING FALCON FACTS
• After being involved in the scoring of both BGSU goals last week, junior Chris Sullivan leads the Falcons in goals, assists and points this season. He picked up his fifth assist of the year in BG's 1-0 win at IUPUI (Oct. 8), then scored the Falcons' lone goal in the MAC opener at Akron on Saturday (Oct. 12). Sullivan now has 15 points on five goals and five assists, and takes a four-match point-scoring streak into the SIUE contest.
• Sullivan has more than doubled his point total for all of last season, and has topped his scoring totals for his first two seasons combined. The Naperville, Ill., native has 27 career points on nine goals and nine helpers.
• The Falcons have topped the team's win total for all of last season. BGSU has a record of 7-4-1 in 2019, after going 6-7-4 last fall.
• BGSU has also surpassed the 2018 team's total of wins away from home. Last year, the Falcons went 4-5-1 (4-4-1 away, 0-1-0 neutral-site matches) in all games played away from Cochrane Stadium. This season to date, BG is 5-2-1 in such games, having gone 4-2-1 in true road matches and 1-0-0 at a neutral site.
• Since Eric Nichols took the BG helm prior to the 2009 season, the Falcons have a record of 59-8-6 when scoring at least two goals in a match. BGSU is now 30-2-2 when scoring three or more goals during that time.

THE OPPONENTS
• SIUE is 7-3-2 on the season and the Cougars are 1-0-0 in the MAC after a 2-1 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday. SIUE is currently riding a six-match unbeaten streak, having gone 5-0-1 in that time. The team picked up a 2-2 tie at Wisconson on Tuesday after winning the previous five matches. Jorge Gonzalez paces the team with nine goals and 21 points, while Lachlan McLean has 10 points, including four goals. In goal, Noah Heim has seen action in eight matches, and has a GAA of 1.81 and 44 saves. Llius Martorell played in five-straight matches, coinciding with the start of the recent winning streak. He has a GAA of just 0.21 and a saves percentage of .962, having allowed only one goal in 421:53 of action. Cale Wassermann is in his first season as head coach at SIUE. Last season, the Cougars went 9-5-4 overall and 1-3-1 in the MAC.Â
• Purdue Fort Wayne is 3-10-0 on the season, heading into a home matchup with Western Illinois on Saturday. The Mastodons are looking to snap a seven-match losing strek, including a narrow 1-0 loss at Omaha last weekend. Alex Frank has four of the team's seven goals on the year, and leads the 'Dons with eight points, while Blake Cearns has two goals. Tor Erik Larsen has been in goal for every second of every match, and has 66 saves and a 2.92 GAA to date. Last season, head coach Mike Harper's club went 10-8-1 overall and 2-3-0 in Summit League play.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons trail SIUE, 4-2-0, in the all-time series between the teams, but BGSU picked up a 2-0 win at Cochrane Stadium in last year's final regular-season match. The teams' last meeting in Illinois saw the host Cougars pick up a 3-1 victory two years ago, in SIUE's first-ever MAC match. The Falcons are 2-1 at home, 0-2 on the road and 0-1 in neutral-site meetings with the Cougars.
• BGSU leads Purdue Fort Wayne, 9-7-2, in that series, but the Mastodons have won the last three meetings. Last season, the 'Dons captured a 3-2 victory on an overtime penalty kick. PFW's last trip to NW Ohio saw the visitors come away with a 2-1 victory in 2017. The Falcons and Mastodons have met every year since 2002. BGSU is 5-3-2 at home and 4-4-0 on the road vs. the school from Fort Wayne.
