Falcons To Face Michigan Friday Night, In NCAA Tournament First Round

BGSU battles Wolverines for the second time this season
The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team will make its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division I Tournament as the Falcons will face the University of Michigan Friday evening (Nov. 15) at 7:00 p.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday (Nov. 12) at 8:30 a.m. and can be purchased online at MGoBlue.com/tickets. Tickets are $8 for reserved seating, $6 for general admission and $3 for students with a valid student ID. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $3 per person.
The 2019 season will mark BGSU's fourth NCAA Championships appearance. The Falcons' previous trips to the national tournament came in 2004, 2005 and 2018.
BGSU won both the Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament titles, and the Falcons are 14-5-3 on the season. BG went 10-1-0 in league regular-season play, becoming the first program in MAC history to win 10 conference matches in back-to-back seasons. BG defeated Central Michigan and Buffalo in the MAC Tournament to advance to the final, then battled Eastern Michigan through 110 minutes of scoreless soccer on Sunday, before advancing, 3-1, via penalty kicks.Â

Bowling Green and Michigan met earlier this season, with the Wolverines coming away with a 2-0 victory in Ann Arbor on Sept. 8. The contest was scoreless through 79 minutes until the Wolverines scored twice in a two-minute span.
The BGSU-Michigan winner will advance to the second round to face either Texas Tech or Pepperdine the following weekend.
