RedHawks Defeat Falcons Wednesday Night In Oxford

With the loss, Bowling Green drops to 3-7 (2-4 MAC) on the campaign. Miami moves to 6-4 (5-1 MAC) with the win. The RedHawks need to win one of their two remaining games in order to represent the East Division at the 2019 MAC Championship Game.
BOWLING GREEN GAME NOTES
• Bryson Denley had a career day for the Orange and Brown. Denley carried the ball 14 times for a career-high 105 yards. Denley had a career-long rush of 53 yards in the first quarter, which topped his previous career high by 31 yards.
• Denley also led the Falcons with 33 receiving yards on three catches. In total, Denley posted a game-high 138 all-purpose yards.
• Trevon Raymore set career highs rushing the ball, as he had 50 rushing yards on 16 carries.
• Grant Loy added 39 rushing yards and 90 passing yards on 11 completions.
• The Bowling Green defense forced two turnovers, including a Brandon Perce interception on the first play from scrimmage. The interception was Perce's second of his career, as he also picked off a pass in BG's home game versus Louisiana Tech.
• Karl Brooks forced the other turnover on a strip sack in the second quarter. Chris Oliver recovered the fumble on the play.
• Along with Brooks, David Konowalski and Darren Anders each recorded a tackle for loss.
• Kholbe Coleman (8) and Jordan Anderson (6) led the Falcons in tackles on the evening.
• RB Marlow had a solid day on kick returns, as he returned three kicks for 82 yards. Jake Rogers had two punt returns for 25 yards, including a career-long punt return of 17 yards.
• Matt Naranjo punted the ball four times for 149 yards. Naranjo averaged 37.2 yards on his four punts.
UP NEXT
Bowling Green will play its final home game at Doyt L. Perry Stadium on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The Falcons will take on the Ohio Bobcats in a 7:30 p.m. start. The midweek #MACtion contest will air live on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The Falcons will then conclude the 2019 season with a road game at Buffalo on Friday, Nov. 29. The start time for that ballgame has not been announced yet.
