Falcons Defeated By Bobcats Tuesday Night In Bowling Green

Grant Loy set career highs with 21 completions in 32 attempts and 250 passing yards, while Davon Jones' career-high 95 yards paced a rushing attack that gained 168 yards and averaged four yards per carry. Quintin Morris surpassed the 100-catch mark for his BGSU career and continued his stellar season with six catches, 86 yards and a touchdown. BGSU's 418 total yards were its most since gaining 425 versus Toledo.
GAME NOTES
Grant Loy threw more passes (32), completed more passes (21) and gained more passing yards (250) than in any previous game. He threw his sixth touchdown pass of the season and passed the 1,000-yard mark for the season (1,132).
Quintin Morris led BGSU with six receptions and, in the process, surpassed 100 catches in his career (104). With 86 yards, his career total is now 1,246, which places him 32nd in BGSU history. In 2019, he has 54 catches, 614 yards and four touchdowns.
Julian Ortega-Jones posted a new single-game high for receiving yards with 90. He averaged 30 yards per reception, including a 44 yarder. He entered the game with 16 catches and 187 yards.
Davon Jones returned from injury and posted the most rushing yards of any game in his career (95). He carried the ball 16 times and averaged 5.9 yards per carry. He also scored a first-quarter touchdown.
Bryson Denley also averaged five yards per carry and scored a touchdown, as he rushed for 70 yards on 13 touches.
BGSU had its third-highest scoring (24 points) and third-highest total yardage (418) game of the season. The Falcons posted 336 yards on 50 plays and scored 24 points in the first half alone. That was the most points for Bowling Green in a first half since scoring 30 against Morgan State in the season opener.
Jerry Roberts forced a third-quarter fumble and Ty Redding recovered it. The forced and recovered fumble were career firsts for Roberts and Redding, respectively.
On special teams, Matt Naranjo improved his season average by punting five times for 210 yards (42.0 average). He posted a long of 49 yards and downed one at the Ohio one-yard line. Mason Lawler booted a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter for the first successful field goal attempt of his career. He is now 1-for-2 in 2019.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Bowling Green will conclude the 2019 season on Friday, Nov. 29 in Buffalo, N.Y. against the University of Buffalo Bulls. Buffalo is currently 5-5 overall and 3-3 in MAC contests; they host Toledo on Wednesday, Nov. 20. This will be the sixth time in nine seasons that BGSU and Buffalo have faced off in the regular-season finale.
The Falcons are 11-5 all-time against the Bulls and are 6-2 in eight trips to Buffalo.
