November 04, 2019 | Women's Basketball
FALCON WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
BGSU women's basketball releases and other information can be accessed via the Internet. Â Log on to BGSUFalcons.com to receive information on all 18 intercollegiate sports. The women's basketball site includes a schedule, roster, all press releases (usually in portable document [.pdf] as well as text format), results (including box scores) and up-to-date statistics as well as historical program information and other Falcon women's basketball tidbits. Members of the media can request to receive releases and game notes via e-mail by contacting BGSU women's basketball SID Mike Cihon (mjcihon@bgsu.edu).
CREDENTIALS
Press and photo credentials for Falcon women's basketball home games SHOULD BE REQUESTED AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE. Seating is limited to working press only. Requests should be directed to Mike Cihon, BGSU Athletic Communications, 247 Perry Stadium East, Bowling Green, Ohio 43403-0030. Credentials will be mailed if time permits, but in most cases, credentials can be picked up at the media will-call entrance at the loading dock area on the west side of the Stroh Center. Names of those individuals with credentials will be added to a parking list to enable them to access the Stroh Center lot.
INTERVIEWS
All interviews with players and coaches should be arranged through Mike Cihon in the athletic communications office. Please allow AT LEAST 24 HOURS (longer, if possible) to set up interviews. Phone numbers for student-athletes (in any sport) will not be made available. Student-athletes will not be asked to miss class for any interviews or media opportunities. Arrangements will be made for telephone and/or in-person interviews at a mutually-agreeable time.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
Only those accredited photographers working on assignment will be issued credentials. No flashes or strobe units are permitted without prior clearance from the athletic communications office or Stroh Center staff. Photographers should shoot from the designated areas along the end lines of the court, and must not block the view of fans. There is ample space in the media room for photographers to work during or after the game. Photographers needing a seat at press row for in-game transmission of photos must make their request in advance of the game.
DIRECTIONS
The quickest way to the Stroh Center is via Interstate 75. Take exit 181 off of I-75 and head west (toward Perry Stadium) on Wooster Street. You will pass the Stroh Center on your right as you proceed to the second traffic light (Mercer Road) and turn right. Turn right on the next street (Alumni Drive) and continue to the Stroh Center parking lot.
PARKING
Media are encouraged to park in the Stroh Center parking lot, just off of Alumni Drive. Anyone holding a press credential is entitled to free parking, but an early arrival is suggested. Media members picking up their credentials at the media will-call entrance will have their names included on a parking list. PARKING IN THE LOADING DOCK AREA IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION FROM THE STROH CENTER STAFF. Even then, parking in the loading dock area will only be permitted briefly, in special circumstances (for example, a radio station needing to drop off equipment several hours prior to tipoff).
PRESS ROW SERVICES
Rosters, game notes, and other pertinent game information will be supplied in the media room, located in the northwest corner of the Stroh Center, or along press row on the north sideline. A complete box score and play-by-play will be available in the post-game interview area (media room) shortly after the game's completion. Wireless internet access is available both in the media room and at press row.
POST-GAME INTERVIEWS
Post-game press conferences will be held in the media area just off the court on the Northwest end approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Unless circumstances dictate otherwise, any requested BGSU players will appear first, followed by Coach Fralick. Visiting players and coaches will only be available in the media room if requested. BGSU observes a closed lockerroom policy. NO INTERVIEWS OF PLAYERS OR COACHES ARE TO BE CONDUCTED ON THE COURT, WITH THE LONE EXCEPTION OF AN ON-CAMERA INTERVIEW BY THE TELEVISION STATION THAT AIRED THE GAME.
VISITING RADIO
Requests for permission to broadcast must be made to Mike Cihon (mjcihon@bgsu.edu) at least one week prior to the game. The official station of the visiting school will be located on press row on the north sideline at court level, across from the visiting team's bench. Any ancillary visiting radio stations will be located on the north side of the Stroh Center on the concourse (upper) level.
