Seven Falcons Named Academic All-MAC; League-Best Four With 4.0 GPA

Cleveland, Ohio – Four members of the Bowling Green State University women's cross country team and three members of the men's cross country team were named Academic All-MAC, as announced by the Mid-American Conference today.
On the women's side, junior Allison Holahan, along with sophomores Megan Aalberts, Katerina Shuble and Allie Zofkie were all listed. On the men's side, senior Jonathan Voth and juniors Raymond Berling and Kyle Hibinger were honored.
In total, four of the league's 16 student-athletes who maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average compete for Bowling Green. Hibinger and Voth make up half of the men's cross country runners in the MAC with a 4.0 GPA. Shuble and Zofkie also maintain a perfect grade point average. No other school in the conference has more than two cross country student-athletes with a 4.0 grade point average.
In order to qualify for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must excel in athletics and academics. Each student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have competed in at least 50 percent of the contests for their particular sport.
