
Falcons Finish Ahead Of Five MAC Schools At Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished the final round at the Rio Verde Invitational on Sunday (Feb. 24) afternoon. Bowling Green carded a team score of 310 to finish in ninth place out of 18 institutions.
The 36-hole event was hosted by Western Michigan on the Quail Run Course at the Rio Verde Country Club in Rio Verde, Arizona. BGSU finished the event with a team score of 612, finishing ahead of MAC-foes Eastern Michigan (615), Ball State (615), Ohio (616), Akron (622) and Central Michigan (631). Xavier shot a 591 to win the tournament.
Individually, Erin Fahey (148) finished tied for eighth, posting a pair of 74's on the weekend. For the event, Bowling Green's lineup was rounded out by Jessica Madry (150), Sammi Blackburn (157), Nichole Cox (158), and Julia Durkin (161).
