Falcons Open Play At Babs Steffens Hatter Collegiate

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team played 36 holes today at the Babs Steffens Hatter Collegiate in Daytona Beach, Florida. The event is being hosted by Stetson University and is being played on the Hills course at the LPGA International.
Bowling Green carded rounds of 332 (Round 1) and 319 (Round 2) to sit in 11th place on the team leaderboard. The Falcons improved their play by 13 strokes over the final 18 holes on the day. BGSU is within 10 strokes of several teams heading into tomorrow's final round.
Individually, the Falcons were led by Julia Durkin and Jessica Madry. The pair of Falcons posted rounds of 77 and 79 to conclude the day. Durkin is tied for 30th, while Madry sites tied for 37th. BGSU's lineup was rounded out by Erin Fahey (T-51), Nichole Cox (T-53) and Sammi Blackburn (64). All five Falcons registered at least one birdie in Round 2.
