Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University junior Jovannah East was named First Team All-MAC, as announced today by the league office. It is the third time in her career in which she has earned first team league honors.
East is one of only four members of the First Team All-MAC, joining Central Michigan's Denelle Pedrick, Eastern Michigan's Courtney Bezold and Northern Illinois' Anna Martucci.

Against Western Michigan in the team's most recent meet, she posted a season-best 39.375 all-around score, fifth-best in program history. East had a 9.975 on floor against Kent State and a 9.950 on vault at Oregon State. She also scored a 9.950 on beam against UIC.
East has scored at least a 9.800 on beam in ten straight meets and has done so on floor in six straight competitions. She is a four-time MAC Gymnast of the Week (twice in 2019) and was the MAC Freshman of the Year in 2017. She was vault co-MAC Champion a year ago and was also Academic All-MAC.
