Volleyball Spring Schedule Taking Shape

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - After capturing the regular season MAC Championship, the Bowling Green State University volleyball program has announced three events for its 2019 spring schedule, beginning March 16.
The Falcons will open play on Saturday, March 16, traveling to Maumee, Ohio to play at the Premier Academy. BGSU will continue their spring schedule on Saturday, March 30 as they compete against Michigan State in East Lansing. The Orange and Brown will then return to action on Friday, April 5, facing Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.
Some times and tournament opponents are yet to be determined, additional games may be released on Bowling Green Volleyball's social media and on the web.
2019 Spring Volleyball Schedule
Saturday, March 16 - at Premier Academy - Maumee, Ohio
Saturday, March 30 - at Michigan State University - East Lansing, Mich.
Friday, April 5 - at Oakland University - Rochester, Mich.
Premier Academy Format
BGSU will be one of seven teams competing in Maumee, Ohio at the Premier Academy's event. Each match will be set in a best two out of three format with a spectator fee of $6 per person. Bowling Green will begin play at 10:00 a.m., facing Akron on Court 1. Following this match, the Falcons will take on Toledo at 11:10 a.m. on the same court. After a break, the Orange and Brown will return to the court, going up against Kent State on Court 3. Eastern Michigan, Oakland University and Purdue Fort Wayne will also be participating during the day.
Michigan State Volleyball Format
The Falcons will be one of six teams participating at the tournament in East Lansing, with Notre Dame, Oakland University, Toledo and Ferris State also playing. In the morning format, Bowling Green will begin by playing Ferris State at 9 a.m. followed by Notre Dame at 11 a.m. These matches will be played in a best of three format. The afternoon format will be based off the results of the morning competition and sets will be played to three.
