FALCONS BREAK INTO THE POLLS
• The United Soccer Coaches released the second weekly poll of the 2019 season on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 10), and the Falcons are ranked 25th in the nation. BGSU has cracked the USC national poll for the first time in two years, since Sept. 12, 2017. BG was 19th in the poll that week, the program's highest ranking since December of 1997.
• Additionally, the Falcons are ranked second in the North Region. BGSU trails only Indiana University, the number-four team in the country, in the regional poll. BG moved up six spots in the region after an eighth-place ranking last week.
FALCON NEWS AND NOTESÂ
• The Falcons are now 3-0-1 on the season and, as mentioned, have scored seven goals while allowing just one. After a season-opening tie with Duquesne, BG has kept clean sheets in wins over Robert Morris, Wisconsin and Northwestern.
• With senior Charlie Maciejewski, junior Achille Robin and freshman Michael Montemurri finding the back of the net last weekend, the Falcons have now had six different players score a goal through four matches.  Junior Chris Sullivan currently leads the pack with two goals.
• Robin is the lone field player to play all 380 minutes so far this season. Sullivan and senior Chris Brennan are atop the total points chart for the Orange and Brown with Sullivan having six points and Brennan four.  Each player has recorded at least one point in three of the four matches this season.
