BGSU Ranked No. 17 In Preseason USCHO Poll

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University hockey team has been ranked No. 17 in this week's first official USCHO poll of the 2019-20 season. This is the first time the Falcons have been ranked in the preseason poll since prior to the 2016-17 season (No. 14).
The BGSU hockey program went 25-11-5 in 2018-19, earning its fifth consecutive 20-win season, advancing to the WCHA championship game for the second time in three years, and punching their ticket to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 29 seasons.
Bowling Green has been voted to finish second overall in both the 2019-20 Mankato Free Press WCHA Preseason Coaches' Poll, and the 2019-20 WCHA Preseason Media Poll. The Orange and Brown will return 11 forwards, six defensemen, and two goaltenders from last year's season.
The Falcons begin their 2019-20 campaign this Sunday (Oct. 6) when they travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami Redhawks for the season opener. The puck drops at 5:00 PM.
Following the Ice Breaker Tournament in Toledo, Ohio, BGSU's home opener will be Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:07 PM in Slater Family Ice Arena against the Broncos of Western Michigan University.
