SETTING THE SCENE...
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team hits the road for the next two games, beginning with a midweek matchup in Western New York. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons will face the University at Buffalo on Wednesday evening (Jan. 15). Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Arena.

THE STARTING FIVE (FIVE SOMEWHAT FASCINATING FALCON FACTS)
• The Falcons are coming off of a second-straight narrow loss at the Stroh Center. After falling to Ball State in overtime last Wednesday (Jan. 8), BGSU dropped a 76-73 decision against Akron on Saturday (Jan. 11).
• All five BGSU starters scored in double digits against the Zips on Saturday. The Falcons had not seen all five starters hit double digits in over six years, but BGSU has now turned the trick twice in an eight-game span.
• All five starters – fourth-year Falcon Caterrion Thompson, juniors Mari Hill, Madisen Parker and Angela Perry and sophomore Kadie Hempfling – are averaging double digits in scoring in MAC games this year to date.
• On her birthday, Parker recorded the first double-double of her collegiate career. The junior had 12 points and a team- and career-high 10 rebounds vs. Akron.
• Parker has made at least one three-point field goal in each of BGSU's 15 games this season to date. She is ranked eighth or better in the entire nation in three categories – total three-pointers made, triples per game and long-range accuracy.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE BULLS
• Buffalo is 10-4 overall, and the Bulls are 1-2 in MAC play. UB opened league action with a win at Miami, but the Bulls then lost at Toledo before dropping a 76-65 decision to Ohio at home on Saturday (Jan. 11).
• UB is 5-1 at home, 3-3 on the road and 2-0 at neutral sites.
• Dyaisha Fair leads the team and is fourth in the nation in scoring, with 23.1 points per game, while Theresa Onwuka has 16.5 ppg and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per contest.
• Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack returned 11 letterwinners, including four starters, from last year's team. The 2018-19 Bulls finished with records of 24-10 overall and 12-6 in the MAC, and UB won the MAC Tournament to advance to the NCAA Championships.
THE SERIES
The Falcons lead Buffalo, 26-15, in the all-time series, and UB won the last meeting, a 75-61 decision in Western New York (March 6, 2019). The teams split last year's meeting, as BG had snapped UB's three-game series winning streak with a 78-72 victory at the Stroh three weeks earlier (Feb. 13, 2019). BGSU is 12-6 at home, 13-9 on the road and 1-0 at neutral sites vs. UB over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the Buffalo game, the Falcons will make a short trip north, facing Toledo in the Battle of I-75 on Saturday (Jan. 18). BG meets UT at 2:00 p.m. at Savage Arena.
• Then, the Orange and Brown will return home to face Western Michigan next Wednesday (Jan. 22), with tipoff set for 7:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
