FOUR AND WHOA! BG OFF TO A 4-0 START
• Bowling Green improved to 4-0 on the season with Friday's 71-64 win over Eastern Michigan. This marks just the seventh time in school history, and the first time since 2013-14, that the Falcons have begun the season with four-straight wins.
• Additionally, the Falcons have won the MAC opener for the first time in five seasons, since the 2015-16 club picked up a 64-58 win at Miami in the league lidlifter.

FOURTH-QUARTER SUCCESS
• It's no secret that, while the Falcons were in a lot of nail-biters in the fourth quarter last season, BGSU struggled to close out those games. BG has been getting the job done in that department in the early portion of the 2020-21 season.
• BGSU led Valparaiso by one point after three quarters in the season opener, but the Falcons began the fourth period on a 13-0 run en route to a 70-60 win.
• The Falcons built a double-digit lead early in the second half at Northern Kentucky, and removed any doubt about the outcome by ending the third quarter on a 9-0 run, then scoring nine-straight points early in the fourth period to cap an 18-2 surge that gave the Orange and Brown a 59-32 lead.
• Milwaukee took a five-point lead, the Panthers' largest of the game, with just 2:08 left in last Sunday's matchup at the Stroh. But, the Falcons proceeded to go on a game-ending 7-0 run to capture a 64-62 win.
• And, on Friday, BGSU and EMU were tied after three quarters. But, after spotting the Eagles the first basket of the fourth, the Falcons scored the next seven points and built a nine-point lead with 1:48 to go, eventually winning by seven.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE BOILERMAKERS
• Purdue is 2-1 on the young season, with all three games taking place at Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers posted double-digit wins over North Alabama and Buffalo, but dropped a 52-47 decision to Valparaiso in between. Most recently, Purdue topped UB, 82-70, on Wednesday (Dec. 9).
• Kayana Traylor has 16.7 points per game to pace three double-figure scorers, while Tamara Farquhar has 12.3 ppg and a team-leading 12.0 rebounds per contest. Brooke Moore has 11.3 ppg through three games.
• Head coach Sharon Versyp welcomed back 11 letterwinners, including three starters, from last year's club. The 2019-20 Boilermakers finished with an overall record of 18-14 and a Big Ten Conference mark of 8-10.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons trail Purdue, 7-3, in the all-time series, and the Boilers have captured the last five meetings. Last year's matchup was tied with seven minutes to go, and was a two-point game with just over five minutes left, before the hosts pulled out an 81-74 outcome at Mackey Arena (Dec. 21, 2019).
• BG's last win in the series came in November of 1991, a 75-72 triumph at venerable Anderson Arena. The Falcons are 2-2 in home games and 1-5 on the road vs. Purdue over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the Purdue game, BGSU wraps up the December schedule with a road game vs. Morehead State (Dec. 19) and a home contest vs. Miami (Dec. 22).
