Angela Perry Named to All-MAC Team

Bowling Green State University women's basketball standout Angela Perry has been named to the All-Mid-American Conference Team. The All-MAC Team and specialty award winners were announced by the league office on Tuesday morning (March 10). Perry, who earns honorable mention, has been named to the all-conference team for the first time in her BGSU career.

Perry, a native of Rochester, Ill. (Rochester H.S.), led the Falcons in scoring, with 14.0 points per game, and added 4.5 rebounds and a team-leading 1.2 blocked shots per contest. She shot 57.7 percent from the floor, the sixth-highest field-goal percentage in a season in school history. Perry currently leads the MAC and is ranked 17th in the nation in that category.

The junior played in all 31 games for the Falcons this season, starting the final 27. She scored in double digits in 20 games, including a team-high 10 games of 20 points or more. Perry had a pair of double-doubles, including a 19-point, 10-rebound game at MAC regular-season champion Central Michigan, and she exploded for 36 points -- the third-highest total in school history -- in BG's win over California Baptist in late November.

The Falcons finished the 2019-20 season with an overall record of 10-21 and a MAC mark of 3-15. BGSU saw a school-record five games go to overtime, and 19 of BG's 21 setbacks were within eight points at some point in the fourth quarter. Fourteen of them were four-point games (or closer) with under eight minutes to go, and no fewer than 10 of BGSU's losses were two-point games or closer within the last two minutes of regulation. In this year's 31 games, the Falcons outscored opponents by a total of two points.
