Bailey Sample Joins Falcon Family

California native joins Reid, Young in newest BGSU softball signing class
Bowling Green State University softball coach Sarah Willis has announced the addition of Bailey Sample to the program. Sample, a native of Benicia, Calif., will attend BGSU beginning in the fall of 2021.
Sample joins Wyndhem Reid (Taylor, Mich.) and Madi Young (Crown Point, Ind.) in the latest signing class. Reid and Young signed National Letters of Intent in November.

• A varsity starter since her freshman year
• Team won a league title (Solano County Athletic Conference) in her freshman season
• Helped the Panthers to a sectional (Sac-Joaquin Section Division III) title that year
• Hit .402 as a sophomore in 2019, earning first-team all-league honors
• Honor Roll student each year since the sixth grade
• Has been playing competitive fastpitch softball since age 6
• Currently plays travel ball for Universal Fastpitch 18 Gold Garcia
• Involved with Christmas for Everyone - Serving those in need in Contra Costa County

"Bailey is an exciting athlete to add to our 2021 recruiting class. Her natural ability as a hitter and aptitude for the game will undoubtedly make an impact on our program. Her character and enthusiasm will help to lead our program in the coming years."
Willis and the Falcons, after seeing the spring 2020 season halted after just 17 games, will look to begin the 2021 season in mid-February, with the Mid-American Conference slate starting in mid-March.
