Ryen Draper Named Mid-American Conference Track Athlete Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University senior sprinter Ryen Draper has been named the Mid-American Conference's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 200 meter dash at the BG Opener Saturday.
Draper ran the 200 in 24.97 seconds, the fastest in the MAC this year and 33rd fastest in the country. For rankings, her time converts to 24.59 seconds, which is .19 faster than any other runner in the conference yet this year.
A year ago, Draper placed seventh at the MAC Championships in the 200 with a time of 24.79 seconds and posted a career-fastest 24.64 in the prelims of that meet. She is the school record-holder in the 300 as well as MAC Champion and school record-holder in the 1600 relay. She is second-fastest in school history in the 400 behind only teammate Iyanna Ross.
Bowling Green will be in action Friday as the Falcons host rival Toledo for the team's annual dual meet, beginning at 5:00 pm.
