SETTING THE SCENE
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team. off to a 3-0 start in Mid-American Conference action, heads to Kalamazoo, Mich., for a midweek matchup. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons face Western Michigan University on Wednesday (Jan. 6), with tipoff set for 1:00 p.m. at University Arena.
• The Falcons posted home wins over conference foes Eastern Michigan and Miami during December, then rang in the New Year with an 89-55 win over Ball State on Saturday night (Jan. 2). Freshmen Lexi Fleming and Nyla Hampton had 19 and 18 points, respectively, in BGSU's most lopsided MAC road win in nearly nine years.
• At 3-0 in the MAC, BGSU has matched the conference win total for all of last season.
• After facing the Broncos, BGSU will return home for a Saturday (Jan. 9) meeting with Northern Illinois University. That contest will begin shortly after 12:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center.

• Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, BGSU will unfortunately not have any public attendance for women's basketball games in the 2020-21 season. However, there are multiple ways to follow the Falcons this winter...
• TV/VIDEO: All of BGSU's home games, as well as many road contests, will be streamed via ESPN3 or ESPN+.
• RADIO/AUDIO: All BGSU home games and many road games will have an audio stream thanks to the efforts of the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization (BGRSO).

CLAP IT UP FOR A THIRTY-FOUR-POINT MAC ROAD WIN!
• The Falcons, as mentioned, are coming off one of the program's top performances in quite some time. BGSU defeated Ball State, 89-55, in Muncie on Saturday night. It marked the most lopsided MAC road win in nearly nine years, among other things. Let's provide some additional information about the win in question-and-answer form, shall we? We shall...
When was the last time the Falcons scored 89 points?
Just over a year ago, on Dec. 30, 2019, in a 91-52 win vs. Davis & Elkins at the Stroh.
What about the last time BG scored 89 points against a MAC team?

A QUICK LOOK AT THE BRONCOS
• Western Michigan is 1-4 on the young season, and the Broncos are 0-3 in MAC play entering Wednesday's game. WMU will be playing a home game for the first time in over a month, since Dec. 5.
• Western's MAC games have come on the road against Central Michigan, Buffalo and Northern Illinois, with the most recent matchup a 73-56 loss at NIU on Saturday (Jan. 2). WMU beat UIC and lost to Valparaiso in non-conference play.
• Reilly Jacobson has 13.4 points per game to lead the Broncos, while Sydney Shafer has 11.0 ppg. Lauren Ross has scored 9.0 ppg, and Taylor Williams has 8.8 ppg and a team-leading 8.0 rebounds per contest.
• The Broncos are 1-0 at home and 0-4 on the road to date. Head coach Shane Clipfell welcomed back seven letterwinners from a 2019-20 club that finished with an overall record of 18-13 and a MAC mark of 10-8.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Western Michigan, 36-35, in the all-time series, but the Broncos have captured two consecutive matchups. The home team captured each of last season's three meetings, with BG coming away victorious, 72-63, in January at the Stroh, but Western picking up a 69-55 February win and an 84-67 March triumph in Kalamazoo. The latter game came in the MAC Tournament.
• BGSU is 19-14 in home games, 14-20 in road contests and 3-1 in neutral-site events vs. the Broncos over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the WMU game, the Falcons will host Northern Illinois on Saturday (Jan. 9). That game will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center.
