Ebonie Whitted Named MAC Field Athlete Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University junior shot putter Ebonie Whitted has been named the Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week after winning her event at the Sid Sink Invitational with a new personal best distance.
Whitted threw the shot put 50-feet-9.5 (15.48m) to move into fourth in the MAC in the event. She defeated a strong field to win the event, including the second-ranked shot putter in the conference, teammate Zaresha Neal. Whitted's mark places her in the top 40 nationally at No. 36 and it puts her seventh in BGSU history in the event.
Bowling Green will be back in action Saturday at Central Michigan's Jack Skoog Invitational beginning at 2:00 pm. Central Michigan will be the host of the MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships Feb. 26-27.
