
Kailee Perry, Zaresha Neal Continue Climb In Falcon Record Book

Mt. Pleasant, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University indoor track & field team won seven events, while Kailee Perry and Zaresha Neal continue to rewrite BGSU's record books, at Central Michigan's Jack Skoog Invitational Saturday. The Falcons posted a first place finish in seven of the 12 events they were entered.

FALCON RECORD LISTS CONTINUE TO BE REWRITTEN
- Redshirt junior Zaresha Neal set a new personal best in the shot put, winning the event with a distance of 52-feet-3.25 (15.93m). She ranks fourth in program history in the shot put, is currently second in the MAC, and ranks No. 24 in the NCAA.
- Sophomore Kailee Perry ran the fifth-fastest mile time in school history to win the event in 4:53.78. That is the fastest time in the MAC this year and makes her the fourth-fastest individual in BGSU history. She is among the top 60 in the country in the mile.
OTHER NOTABLE RESULTS
- Freshman Payton Gorman won the 400 with a collegiate best time of 58.73 seconds. That places her among the top 10 in the MAC
- Jemeila Hunter won the 200 with a time of 25.17 seconds, barely edging teammate Ryen Draper, who was runner-up at 25.18 seconds.
- Savannah Nevels added a time of 25.54 seconds in the 200 to become the third Falcon sprinter among the top 10 200 runners in the conference.
- Also in the 200, Anna Roach ran a season-best time of 27.36 seconds.
- Perry was a dual winner for the Falcons. Along with the mile, she posted a time of 2:16.13 in the 800 to get the victory.
- BGSU's 1600 relay team of Jazzlynn Gaiters, Nevels, Hunter and Draper ran 3:59.00 to win that race.
- Chloe Amoroso won the triple jump with a distance of 35-feet-0.5 (10.68m).
- Darian Braddix tied her college PR in the 60 at 7.94 seconds.
- In the 800, Trinity Fowler ran a season-best time of 2:20.30.
- Sydney Niekamp was the Falcons' top finisher in the 3000, running a personal best time of 10:15.95.
UP NEXT
- Bowling Green has made a late schedule adjustment and will travel to Grand Valley State for The Big Meet. The Falcons will compete in the 5000 on Friday with the rest of the team taking part in the meet Saturday.
