Falcons See WCHA-High 20 Scholar Athletes

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced this year's recipients of the Scholar Athlete awards with a league-high 20 Falcons being named. To be recognized as a Scholar Athlete, each candidate must have completed at least one year of residency at their present institution prior to the current academic year. Additionally, they must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA for the previous two semesters or have a 3.50 cumulative GPA for all terms at their present institution.

The Falcons are currently in the midst of an off week while the rest of the WCHA finishes up the regular season schedule before the tournament starts next weekend on March 12-14. Bowling Green's season concluded last week with a sweep over Alabama Huntsville that gave the Falcons a 19-8-1 standing to close the regular season with a WCHA record of 8-5-1.
