Falcon Soccer Squads Land 12 on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Teams
November 15, 2022 | Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer
The Bowling Green State University soccer teams have landed a total of 12 student-athletes on the 2022 Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). Six men's soccer and six women's soccer Falcons have been named to their respective squads, which were announced Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 15).
On the men's side, Joey Akpunonu, Kyle Cusimano, Josh Erlandson, Brendan Graves, Jensen Lukacsko and Kale Nichols all earned the academic all-district honor. For the BGSU women, Lili Berg, Katie Cox, Maya Dean, Jasmijn Dijsselhof, Makenzie Ortman and Kennedy White all were named to the team.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
