Platts Adds Another Time to the Record Books at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Georgia – Senior swimmer Daisy Platts made her 2022 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships debut today in the 200 IM. This is Platts' second year competing at NCAA Championships with the previous coming a year prior when she competed in the 100 and 200 Backstroke.
Daisy swam to the 9th fastest time in school history during the morning session with a time of 2:00.89. This time put Platts 73rd in the nation in the 200 IM.

"Daisy looked strong today. It was nice for her to race today to shake off some of the nerves. Tomorrow should be a great day with the 100 Backstroke."

Platts will compete again tomorrow in the 100 Backstroke.
Platts holds the ten fastest times in the 100 Backstroke in program history and is also a three-time Mid-American Conference Champion in the event. In addition to her conference success Platts also placed 21st at last year's NCAA Championship in the 100 Backstroke.
Prelims for tomorrow's events start at 10:00 a.m. with finals starting at 6:00 p.m.
