Davis Leads BGSU During First Day Of Nevel Meade Collegiate

PROSPECT, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team teed off at the Nevel Meade Collegiate in Prospect, Ky. on Monday (March 21). The Cleveland State-hosted event took place at the Nevel Meade Golf Club, a 5,953-yard course. Kayla Davis led the way for the Falcons with a score of 153 over the first two rounds, including a team-best 73 during the first round. Davis concluded the day tied for 10th in the field 90.
Davis' round was propelled by strong play on pars fours, being +6 on the day on those holes which was tied for ninth in the field. MacKenzie Moore saw similar success on par threes, ending the day +2 on such holes, which tied for ninth as well. Moore also tied for fourth for total pars, logging 23 over the course of the day. Emily Pantig-Nystrom paced the Falcons on par fives, being -2 on such holes, seventh in the field.
The Falcons and the rest of the field at the Nevel Meade Collegiate will conclude the event on Tuesday (March 22) with the third and final round. Bowling Green will play alongside Youngstown State and Detroit Mercy with a scheduled tee-time of 1:00 p.m. EST.
