Falcons Return To Action This Week With Nevel Meade Collegiate

PROSPECT, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team will be traveling to Kentucky for the Nevel Meade Collegiate this week, hosted by Cleveland State. The event will span two days, beginning on Monday (March 21) and concluding Tuesday (March 22) with a total of three rounds to be played. The field of 15 teams will begin play with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on Monday at the Nevel Meade Golf Club in Prospect, Ky.. Bowling Green will play alongside Detroit Mercy and Youngstown State. The course will span 5,953 yards with a par 72.
The Nevel Meade Collegiate will mark the final road event of the regular season for the Falcons. Only the BGSU-hosted Dolores Black Falcon Invitational (April 9-10) remains on the schedule for Bowling Green before the MAC Championships, beginning on April 22.

The Falcons will be one of 15 teams competing in the Nevel Meade Collegiate this weekend. In addition to Bowling Green, the Mid-American Conference will be represented by Central Michigan and Toledo. The rest of the field will fill out with host Cleveland State, Bellarmine, Butler, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Indiana State, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Tennessee Tech and two Youngstown State teams.

Mallory Swartz
- Swartz is coming off the best outing of her collegiate career, finishing up the HBU Husky Invitational with a score of 230. Swartz was the top-placing Falcon at the event and logged a score of 78 or below in each round.
- Davis has played consistently well for the Falcons this season, including a team-best 69 during the first round of the Bearkat Invitational in the fall. She also posted a season-best 220 at the Cardinal Classic, placing first.
- Pantig-Nystrom played her first event of the spring last week at the HBU Husky Invitational. She improved each round of the event, a trend that has been true across each event she has played in this season.
- Moore will return to the lineup at the Nevel Meade Collegiate. Moore has kept each round under 80 during the 2021-22 season, including posting a 71 in her inaugural collegiate round during the Redbird Invitational in the fall.
- Blackburn will be playing her first round of the spring with her last action being at the Bearkat Invitational in the fall. Blackburn's best round of the 2021-22 campaign came during the second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge, scoring a 75.
Falcon Facts
- Bowling Green has just two events left before the MAC Championships in Holland, Ohio starting on April 22. In addition to the Nevel Meade Collegiate, the Falcons will host the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on April 9-10.
- This will be the first time the Falcons will compete in the Nevel Meade Intercollegiate.
