BGSU Tied Atop Leaderboard After Day One Of Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team began play at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday (April 9) at Stone Ridge Golf Club. The Falcons have 11 student-athletes participating in the event with two teams and one individual player. One of the Bowling Green teams concluded the first day of play tied for first with the Akron Zips.
MacKenzie Moore and Nichole Cox led the way for the Falcons, both scoring a 75 during the first round of play to tie for fourth in the field. On the second BGSU team, Erin Korn wasn't far behind with a score of 76 to tie for eighth. Cox was one of four golfers in the field to return to the clubhouse under par on par three holes while Sammi Blackburn was one of five to be under par on par fives. Moore and Korn tied for first at +1 on par fours while Moore paced the field in pars with 15.
Bowling Green, who tied for second at last year's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, will be playing with Akron and Cleveland State for Sunday's round, set for a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
