Falcons Return Home For Annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team will be hosting the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational this week. The event will span two days, beginning on Saturday (April 9) and concluding Sunday (April 10) with a total of two rounds to be played. The field of 11 teams will begin play with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. The course will span 5,829 yards with a par 72.
The Dolores Black Falcon Invitational will mark the final event of the regular season before the MAC Championships, beginning on April 22 in Holland, Ohio.
The Dolores Black Falcon Invitational Field
The Falcons will be one of 11 teams competing in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational this weekend. In addition to Bowling Green, the Mid-American Conference will be represented by Akron, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan. The rest of the field will fill out with Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Oakland and Youngstown State. The Falcons "A Team" will play alongside Akron and Central Michigan while the "B Team" will play with Detroit Mercy as well as individuals competing in the invitational.

Kayla Davis
- Davis competed for the Falcons a year ago at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, tying for 22nd in the field and second on the team. Her best round came during the first day with a 74.
- This will be Swartz's first time competing in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational. Swartz tied her best round of the year her last time out, coming in the third round of the Nevel Meade Collegiate with a 75.
- This will be Moore's first time playing in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational as well. Her best round came during her first collegiate round at the Redbird Invitational back in September, shooting a 71.
- Cox was the top placing Falcon at last year's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, tying for fifth in the field. Cox returned to the clubhouse with a 150 for the tournament, scoring a 71 in the first round and a 79 in the second.
- Blackburn tied with Davis for second on the team at last year's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, shooting a 75 in the first round and an 80 in the second to tie for 22nd in the field.

Emily Pantig-Nystrom
- Pantig-Nystrom will lead the second team for BGSU, having played in the last two events for BGSU. She recently shot a 76 in the final round of the Nevel Meade Collegiate.
- Kovach placed inside the Top 30 at last year's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, tying for 26th after shooting a first round score of 74.
- At last year's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, Korn logged the best second round score for the Falcons with a 77.
- Wyrick will be competing for the first time this spring with her last action coming at the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational in October.
- Sager placed inside the Top 40 at the 2021 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, tying for 37th with a score of 159.

- Maletich will be playing in her first event of the spring. She previously played in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational in the fall.
Falcon Facts
- The Dolores Black Falcon Invitational is the last event before the MAC Championships in Holland, Ohio starting on April 22.
- This is the annual home event for Bowling Green and will be the only event they will host this season.
- Last season, the Falcons finished second at the event behind only Ball State. BGSU logged a team score of 615 over the two days of play.
