BGSU Takes Part in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational on Monday and Tuesday

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's golf team continues the fall season on Monday at Eastern Michigan's Shirley Spork EMU Invitational. The two-day event will take place at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. The par-72, 6,159-yard course is in Ypsilanti, Mich.

The first 36 holes will be played on Monday with the final 18 taking place on Tuesday. Both days are a shotgun start with both days kicking off at 9 a.m.

Shirley Spork EMU Invitational
The Falcons will be one of 11 teams competing at the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational. In addition to Bowling Green, MAC teams taking place are Akron, Central Michigan, Ohio, Western Michigan and host Eastern Michigan. The rest of the field will include Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Green Bay and Purdue Fort Wayne.

• Sammie Dolce, Ava O'Sullivan, Olivia Steen, Kayla Davis, Makenna Jones, Mallory Swartz and Emily Pantig-Nystrom, Aly Kovach and Savannah Wyrick will compete as individuals

Bowling Green won the event in 2018 with a team score of 592
Freshman Sammie Dolce is playing in the No. 1 position for the second time in her college career
Dolce led the Falcons to a record-breaking tournament for the program last time out at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Throughout the event she had 12 birdies and an eagle. She helped the Falcons break the program record for low 36-hole team score and low 54-hole team score.
