Falcons Fly To Sioux Falls To Face The Vikings

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Bowling Green Falcons (1-1-0) are set to continue the 2023-24 season when they travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where they face the Augustana Vikings (0-2-0) in their inaugural home opener. This series will also serve as the Falcons first away series of the season. The series starts on Saturday, Oct. 14, when the teams face off at 7:07 p.m. EST at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The action continues Sunday, Oct. 8, puck drop set for 6:07 p.m. EST.

Falcon Facts
Augustana being in their inaugural hockey season, the only opponent that they have faced is the University of Wisconsin last weekend going 0-2-0. The Vikings are looking to get their first win for the program this weekend in their home opener. Coach Garrett Raboin has a roster of 15 transfers 10 freshmen, and two early enrollments.
Series Info
This will be the first time the Falcons and the Vikings are meeting. Augustana is in their inaugural season as a NCAA Division 1 program. They will be full members of the CCHA in the 2025-26 season.

- Christian Stoever was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week on Monday, October 9. Stoever made an overall 51 saves on opening weekend, 27 on Saturday and 24 on Sunday and having a shut out performance on Saturday. Stoever has a save percentage of .962 which leads the CCHA and sits at 10th overall for saves in the NCAA. Stoever holds an all-time 1,619 save record and .909 save percentage for the Falcons.
- Dalton Norris leads the Falcons point production with two points (1g,1a) and is 12th overall in Division 1 hockey.
- Josh Nodler has 24 faceoff wins from last weekend and is tied for 10th overall in the NCAA.
