Falcons Prepare For Regular Season Finale at Silverston Invitational

Bowling Green heads to Ann Arbor on Friday for last competition before MACs
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons are set to conclude the indoor regular season with a one-day meet in Michigan, competing in the Silverston Invitational. BGSU will compete on Friday, Feb. 17, with the meet marking the final competition before the Falcons host the 2023 MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Silverston Invitational Information
Hosted by the University of Michigan, the Silverston Invitational will be held on Friday, Feb. 17. Field events start at 3:30 p.m., with track events beginning at 4 p.m. All events will be held in the University of Michigan Indoor Track Building. The spectator entrance is located on the northwest side of the facility. Admission is free. Live results for the meet will be posted HERE. A free live stream will be available HERE. The Falcons are one of nine teams competing, with the others being Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Michigan State, Michigan, Toledo, Oakland, Western Ontario, and Windsor.

Bowling Green's Previous Weekend
The Falcons had yet another impressive weekend, collecting PRs and top finishes at the GVSU Big Meet. Zaresha Neal matched her PR in the shot put and took first place with a mark of 17.19m, which ranks first in the MAC, fourth in program history, and 14th in the NCAA. For her performance, she was named MAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and fourth time in her career. Katerina Shuble ran a PR in the mile with a time of 4:49.00, which is the second-fastest in program history. The Distance Medley Relay team of Katerina Shuble, Raegan Burkey, Izzy Best, and Kylee Cubbison placed fourth in 11:42.35, which is the fourth-best time in school history. It trails the third-best time by less than one second and is BGSU's fastest DMR time of the season by over 14 seconds.
The 4x400 Relay team of Darian Braddix, DaMya Barker, Bianca Staples, and Jemeila Hunter won the event in 3:48.50. This is the eighth-best time in school history, with only five other quartets recording faster times. Hunter ran a PR in the 400 at 56.34, with only five other BGSU runners recording faster times in school history. Also logging a PR were Ashley Kisor (400, 58.93), Darian Braddix (200, 25.20), Raegan Burkey (800, 2:17.67), Kristin Groppe (3K, 10:33.47), Regina Rose (5K, 17:40.92), Hunter Sidle (5K, 15:41.02), and Olivia Collett (5K, 17:05.69). Collett's time is ninth in school history, with only three other runners recording faster times. Kailee Perry ran the 16th-best 3K in program history, finishing in 9:53.90. This gives her six of the top 16 marks in school history. Morgan Patterson ran the 11th-best 60 hurdles time in program history, finishing in 8.79.
