Zaresha Neal Earns Second Consecutive MAC Field Athlete of the Week Honor

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has announced two student-athletes as its Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, with Bowling Green's Zaresha Neal earning MAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week and third time this season. The senior won the shot put at Michigan's Silverston Invitational, earning a mark of 55-0.00 (16.76m).

Zaresha Neal won the shot put at Friday's Silverston Invitational, hosted by the University of Michigan. Neal threw a mark of 55-0.00 (16.76m), which is her second-best of the season and secured her fourth first-place finish of the year. This ranks 13th in program history, giving Neal five of the top 15 and eight of the top 20 shot put marks in the Falcon record book.

This is Neal's third MAC award of the season and fifth of her career. Four of those recognitions have come during the indoor season. This is BGSU's third total honor of the season, eclipsing the total from last season. Neal is the only MAC Women's Indoor Track and Field student-athlete to earn Athlete of the Week honors three times this season.
