April 03, 2023 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Twenty-two of Bowling Green State University women's swimming and diving student-athletes were named to the Academic All-MAC team this afternoon. This is the second straight season the Falcons have had twenty-two student-athletes named to the list.
Overall, 133 student-athletes across the conference were named to the Women's Swimming and Diving MAC All-Academic Team. The Falcons were tied with Bobcats of Ohio with the most student-athletes honored.
Divers Rayah Blood and Elise Snyder not only excelled in the classroom but on the boards as well. Both divers qualified for NCAA Diving Zones in the 1- and 3-Meter Diving. Blood also finished 8th in the 1M Diving and 10th in the 3M Diving. Fellow Falcon Snyder finished 6th in the 3-Meter. The divers weren't the only two student-athletes to leave their mark on the Falcons' season. Senior Taylor Harris finished fourteenth at MAC Championships in the 100 Breaststroke and added a top ten time in program history in the event earlier in the season. Elayna Krupp also showed out at MAC Championships with two 15th place finishes in the 50 and 100 Freestyle.
For seniors Anais Constantinides, Taylor Harris, Julia Januszewska, Inbar Mark, Julianna Petrak, and Amber Saxon this is the third time in their careers that they have been named to the list.
Sophomores Lily Kaiser and Elise Snyder were two of only thirteen student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC Team to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC Team honor is bestowed upon a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. True freshmen and transfers in their first academic year at their current school are not eligible for the Academic All-MAC Team.
